İlk defa Sotheby’s ile işbirliği yapan Prada, Ocak ve Şubat aylarında gerçekleşen Sonbahar 2020 erkek ve kadın giyim defilelerinde kullanılan kıyafetleri ve sahne dekorlarını açık artırmaya çıkarıyor.  “Modanın sadece zamanı yansıtmak değil ama aynı zamanda şekillendirmek için bir görevi var,” diyen Prada, modanın toplumdakini yerini sorguluyor. Modanın değişim için anlamlı ve gerekli bir araç olarak kullanılabileceğini savunan Prada, herkesi aksiyona geçmeye çağırıyor.

The #PradaFW20 campaign is proposed not as inert imagery, but as an action - an online #auction in collaboration with @Sothebys, staged in #Fall20.⠀ Proceeds generated will be donated to benefit @UNESCO educational projects, expanding inclusion in education for vulnerable populations across the globe. Sonbahar aylarında Sotheby’s üzerinden gerçekleşecek olan açık artırmanın gelirleri UNESCO’ya bağışlanacak. UNESCO’nun dünya genelinde savunmasız nüfuslar için tasarladığı eğitim projelerine destek olmayı hedefleyen Prada, daha önce de UNESCO ile işbirliği yaparak lise öğrencilerine okyanusların sağlığı ve çevre hakkında eğitimler vermişti.

Defile modelleri tarafından giyilen kıyafetler, davetiyeler, podyumdaki objeler veya fotoğraf baskıları gibi birçok parçayı açık artırmaya çıkaran Prada, Sonbahar 2020 sezonunun ‘totemi’ haline gelen parçaları hayranları ile buluşturacak. Fondazione Prada’nın mimari tasarımlarını üstlenen Rem Koolhaas’ın mimarlık firmasının parçası AMO ile çalışan Miuccia Prada, Sonbahar 2020 defilelerinin dekorasyonu ve seti için de AMO ile yeniden bir araya gelmişti.
